Friday, October 1, 2021, Servicios Aeroportuarios Andinos S.A. (SAASA) added the airline JetBlue to its customer portfolio, becoming the first American company it will work with. SAASA will provide assistance to JetBlue throughout its entire operation at the Jorge Chávez International Airport (AIJCH), which is initially expected to have 4 weekly flights from Lima to the city of Fort Lauderdale in the USA.
“For us it is a milestone to work with a company like JetBlue, an American airline, which we will provide with passenger and ramp services. To do so, we will implement new technologies that will improve the security and service for customers and users of this company,” said Enrique Vargas, General Manager of SAASA.
Some of the services SAASA will provide for JetBlue include passenger control and check-in, which include screening and document verification, as well as ramp operations of aircrafts, that is, assistance and coordination services with other airline suppliers during its operation at the AIJCH.
